This is the field site I worked at during my Master's research on the movement ecology of Pygmy Rattlesnakes. One technique I used to sample the reptile communities of the site was coverboards. These are pieces of sheet metal that attract snakes and lizards who hide under them to warm up either because they are digesting a meal, shedding their skin, or are pregnant or holding eggs. Due to this, I was fortunate enough to see many different species at DMCA.
